Portrait de l’orchestre

Depuis près de 40 ans, le forum franco-allemand des jeunes artistes de Bayreuth organise entre autres l'académie d'orchestre franco-allemande. Depuis 2017, celle-ci s'est élargie à la Hongrie. Avec des effectifs variables, l'orchestre a réalisé des ballets et des opéras comme Cendrillon, Hansel et Gretel, Gianni Schicchi et des œuvres symphoniques de Beethoven, Wagner, Strauss et Bruckner. Le metteur en scène du Festival de Bayreuth Philipp Arlaud a créé L’Anneau en une soirée pour la Jeune philharmonie.

En 2024, année du 200^e anniversaire de la naissance de Bruckner, l'orchestre achèvera son cycle brucknérien avec la 6^e symphonie. Une tournée de représentations publiques dans des lieux différents, tels que l’Opéra-Comique et la cathédrale de Berlin, la cathédrale Saint Jean de Lyon et diverses salles de concert, clôturera le projet. L’académie d’orchestre est soutenue par l'Office franco-allemand pour la Jeunesse (OFAJ), qui réunit depuis 60 ans des jeunes Français·e·s et Allemand·e·s dans un esprit de coopération, de solidarité et d'entente. Plusieurs productions radiophoniques et CD ont été réalisés avec la Radiodiffusion bavaroise. De nombreux ancien·ne·s élèves de la Jeune philharmonie franco-allemande et hongroise jouent aujourd'hui dans des ensembles de renom.

Le projet pour 2024

Près de 80 musicien·ne·s de France, d’Allemagne et de Hongrie participeront à l’académie internationale du forum qui se déroulera du 23 mars au 07 avril 2024.

Phase de répétitions à Bayreuth : du 23 au 30 mars 2024

Le 23 mars 2024, l'arrivée à Bayreuth des participant.e.s et des professeur.e.s est prévue avant 16h00. Le lendemain les différents groupes d'instruments répéteront pendant deux jours par pupitre. Ensuite, les répétitions en tutti auront lieu dans la salle Europe ("Europasaal") du ZENTRUM sous la direction de Nicolaus Richter. Les répétitions ont lieu tous les jours entre 10 et 13 heures et entre 14h30 et 18 heures. Des activités linguistiques (allemand/français/hongrois) et interculturelles ainsi qu'un programme culturel (dont notamment la visite du Festspielhaus de Bayreuth) seront également proposés chaque jour.

Tournée de concerts : du 31 mars au 07 avril 2024

La tournée commencera en France et se poursuivra en Allemagne : Des concerts sont prévus à Strasbourg, Berlin, Hof et Bayreuth. Le concert final dans l'église de la ville ("Stadtkirche") de Bayreuth sera enregistré et diffusé ultérieurement sur BR-Klassik. Le départ est prévu le 07.04.2024.

Direction musicale

Le chef d’orchestre
Le chef d’orchestre Nicolaus Richter a étudié le violon à Cologne, il a joué entre autres dans l'orchestre du festival de Bayreuth sous des chefs d'orchestre tels que Karl Böhm, Horst Stein, Pierre Boulez, Colin Davis et Carlos Kleiber. Pendant ses 35 ans d'activité en tant que directeur de l'école de musique de Bayreuth, il s'est particulièrement engagé en faveur de la relève musicale en Allemagne et à l'étranger. Pour cela, il a été décoré de la Croix fédérale du mérite (D) et du titre de Chevalier dans l'ordre des Arts des lettres (F). Depuis 1988, il est à la tête de la jeune philharmonie. Il est en outre président de l'association Richard Wagner de Bayreuth et vice-président de l'association internationale Richard Wagner.

Les intervenants
Les répétitions de pupitres (2 jours) seront encadrées par des professeur·e·s renommé·e·s de conservatoires européens ou des musicien·ne·s d’orchestres professionnels (ex : Opéra National de Paris, Orchestre Philharmonique de Strasbourg, Bayerische Staatsoper, Académie Liszt de Budapest)

Participation

Sont invités à participer les musicien·ne·s entre 18 et 35 ans résidant en Allemagne, en France ou en Hongrie. Étudiant·e·s & diplômé·e·s des pôles supérieurs d’enseignement musical ou de conservatoires, musicien·ne·s professionnel·le·s ou passionné·e·s de haut niveau de toute nationalité.

Les mineurs peuvent également postuler. Jusqu'à un certain nombre, nous pouvons assumer l'obligation de surveillance. Celle-ci ne peut être assumée qu'avec l'accord de tous les détenteurs de l'autorité parentale.

Frais de participation : 440 € (pour les participant·e·s résidant en Allemagne ou en France) pour les répétitions et la tournée, incluant la pension complète et l’hébergement (Sur demande, les frais d'inscription peuvent être réduits de manière justifiée).

L'hébergement se fait dans des chambres doubles. Le prix comprend la nourriture et le logement, entre autres à la cantine de l'école d'artisanat ou au restaurant pendant la tournée. Nous ne pouvons malheureusement pas tenir compte des intolérances individuelles, mais nous essayons de proposer un plat végétarien.

Jusqu’à 100 % des frais de voyage aller-retour jusqu’à Bayreuth peuvent être remboursés sur demande grâce au soutien de l’OFAJ (voir conditions générales du forum).

Orchestra portrait

For almost 40 years, the Franco-German forum of young art in Bayreuth has organised, among other things, the Franco-German Orchestra Academy. Since 2017, this has been expanded to include the partner country Hungary. In varying cast sizes, the orchestra has realised ballet and opera works such as Cinderella, Hansel and Gretel, Gianni Schicchi and symphonic works by Beethoven, Wagner, Strauss and Bruckner. With Festival director Philipp Arlaud, the Ring was created in one evening. In the anniversary year of 2024, the orchestra will end its long-running Bruckner cycle with the 6th Symphony.

A tour with public performances at changing venues such as the Komische Oper Berlin, the Berlin Cathedral, the Cathédrale Saint Jean in Lyon and various concert halls and theatres will conclude this unique project phase. The project phase is supported by the Office Franco-Allemande pour la Jeunesse (Franco-German Youth Office), which has been uniting young people from Germany and France in a spirit of understanding, solidarity and cooperation for 60 years. Several radio and CD productions have been made with Bayerischer Rundfunk. From the  German-French-Hungarian Philharmonic numerous alumni now play in well-known ensembles.  

The 2024 Project

Around 80 musicians* from France, Germany and Hungary will participate in the international academy of the forum which will take place from 23 March to 07 April 2024 .

Rehearsal phase in Bayreuth: 23-30.03.2024

On 23.03.2024 all participants and lecturers are scheduled to arrive in Bayreuth by 18:00. The next day the individual instrument groups will rehearse separately in register rehearsals for two days. Afterwards, the tutti rehearsals will take place in the Europasaal of the ZENTRUM under the direction of Nicolaus Richter. Rehearsals will be held daily between 10 am and 1 pm and between 2:30 pm and 6 pm. In addition, there will be a daily language (German/French/Hungarian) and intercultural activity as well as a cultural programme (including a visit to the Festspielhaus in Bayreuth).

Concert tour: 31 March to 07 April 2024

The tour will start in France and return to Germany: Concerts in Strasbourg, Berlin, Hof and Bayreuth are planned. The final concert in the Stadtkirche in Bayreuth will be recorded and later broadcast on BR-Klassik. Departure an end of the project will be 07.04.2024.

Musical direction

The Conductor
The conductor Nicolaus Richter studied violin in Cologne. His orchestral career took him to the Beethoven Orchestra Bonn, the Gürzenich Orchestra Cologne and the Düsseldorf Symphony Orchestra. In the Bayreuth Festival Orchestra he played under conductors such as Karl Böhm, Horst Stein, Pierre Boulez, Colin Davis and Carlos Kleiber. With his 35 years as director of the Bayreuth Municipal School of Music and numerous guest conductorships with renowned orchestras, he has been intensively involved in promoting young musicians at home and abroad. For this he was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit (D) and the Chevalier dans l'ordre des art des lettres (F). Since 1988 he has been the conductor of the Junge Philharmonie n. He is also the President of the Richard Wagner Association Bayreuth and Vice-President of the International Richard Wagner Association.

The lecturers
The podium rehearsals are conducted by renowned professors from European conservatories or by musicians from professional orchestras (e.g. : Opéra National de Paris, Orchestre Philharmonique de Strasbourg, Bavarian State Opera, Liszt Academy in Budapest).

Participation

Musicians between the ages of  18 and 35  residing in Germany, France or Hungary are invited to participate. Students and graduates of conservatoires/academies, professional musicians or passionate musical talents of any nationality.

Minors can also apply. We can assume responsibility for supervision up to a certain number. This can only be assumed with the consent of all legal guardians.

Registration fee: 440 € for the rehearsals and the tour, including full board and accommodation (The application fee can be reduced upon request for justified reasons).

Accommodation is in twin rooms. The price includes board and lodging, e.g. in the canteen of the craft school or in the restaurant during the tour. Unfortunately, we cannot cater for individual intolerances, but we will try to offer a vegetarian dish.
